EGR.Newer engines seem worse for it. Have an N14 cummins at work that even after 200hrs the engine oil is only just changing colour and still has a gold tinge to it where as 7530 deeres day after its serviced oils black.

id like to make whoever thought up that to tie a paper bag around his head and make him run a marathonEGR.
Who’s going to want a 100k mile used van that’s only had 4 oil changesFlush it if your worried about it but it'll still go black.
Reduce the service intervals? I never liked these long drain stuff anyway, my new van is 25k miles I think or 2 years but it'll be getting done once a year at around 8k miles.
You can buy tractors without one.id like to make whoever thought up that to tie a paper bag around his head and make him run a marathon

I thought you can just pay a man to remove and delete EGRs on JDs these days?
Probably, but will you get sued for global warming in the future?... might be better to buy a new one without.
Best to have a pipe going from his ass into the bag for a fully functioning recirculation system.....you know, for the environment.id like to make whoever thought up that to tie a paper bag around his head and make him run a marathon

Is it a Ford? Off topic of course.. It's funny because Ford warranty stipulates you *have* to have this "interim check" done on years 1 and 3 (proper service every 2 years as you say), and they charge you £129.99 for the pleasure of walking around your van. Guy in the service center got right arsey when I told him No thanks I'll take it down to my local garage and have a proper service done for the same cost.
I believe the Ford Euro 6 is actually 2 years or 30k miles.
