Just had a very pleasant afternoon, with all the family planting a couple of trees and putting some of Dad's ashes under them.
He would have approved.
Am actively trying to do something on Sunday afternoons that is not work. This job is supposed to be a living, not a 24/7 chore.

Iv got to do something, as i cant switch off if im on the farm. Today was a prime example took the kids to rugby this morning, they enjoyed it, so did i. This afternoon i was sat winding myself up so ended up going and doing a couple of jobs in the calf shed, tidy up some rubbish, and do a bit on the old db990.
I used to be able to switch off i cant now.
Before lockdown, and if i wasnt busy i used to go and watch the first team play at our Rugby club and have a few pints with sone of the other dads my sons team. Ones a prison warden, another owns a furniture making business, another is an ex copper who in a previous life was an officer on the ark royal. So a propper mixxed bag and i can switch off.
Cant wait for the next season to start.

Post of the year (y) or maybe even the best post ever, in my humble opinion.

Why do you have to wait till Sunday for relaxing time if your your own boss
I dont but the Mrs is works in school and Sunday is the best day to spend time with her and easier to coordinate with others like a Bristol trip ( the traffic is lighter :ROFLMAO::banghead:) to see offspring..who work also(y)
It doesn't matter what day it is but a regular occurance is really good , and something I need to arrange I think.

A walk up and back Dunster Beach today, first time I've been out like that for probably about 10 months. :ROFLMAO:
I don't employ anyone and there's always fencing or something that needs desperate attention.

I wouldn't mind a bike tbh  an 'E ' one, and the motor would be used on the flat as well as the hills😏 😂

Estate fencing.

Dad never wanted to be anywhere else but on his beloved farm.
He took the attitude that on Sundays he would work on the farm but do a job he wanted to do and enjoyed doing.
There's always something I fancy doing and then feeling I have been gainfully employed in the evening.
That's what I do, I work every day but will save a job that I enjoy to do on Sunday afternoon. I hate being told to do a job or made feel guilting that something hasn't been done on a Sunday though!
