Looking For Work Enthusiastic couple from NZ

My partner, Andrew, and I will be relocating to the UK from NZ to begin a new chapter in our adventure in an industry we are so passionate about, with the bonus of being much closer to my family!

We are aiming to arrive in the UK around the 14th of May, and although a short break is something to look forward to, we are excited to dive into a new opportunity promptly. We are interested in discussing a variety of positions, and ultimately hope to invest in a herd or profit share agreement and build a successful business partnership with other passionate people in the future.

Andrew is an experienced manager with over 20 years in the industry between NZ and Australia, responsible for smaller family farms as well as large herd corporate operations overseeing a TMR system and a number of staff members. He has a detailed understanding of ration formulation to meet nutritional requirements, pasture management, and plant and soil science. He is confident operating and maintaining a range of machinery, is experienced with AI and corrective and maintenance hoof trimming, and producing budgets and reports to investors.

We share the same values in regards to keeping high standards of hygiene, and animal health and welfare. We have been a sole charge managing couple on a 280 cow split calving farm near Hamilton in the North Island for nearly three years. We would be classed as a system 4-5 farm with an 80h milking platform, mixer wagon and year round use of feed pad, access to maize and grass silage, PKE and minerals, and on target for 500kg/ms/cow this season.

After previously working with horses and vet nursing, I met Andrew in Australia six years ago and we have lived and worked together full time ever since. I am currently studying ruminant nutrition via distance learning through Aberystwyth University and my passion focuses on cow and calf nutrition, health, welfare, and disease prevention, and my newest interest is genetics.

For us working together is not essential, and our priorities are not with salary or location, but with the opportunity to excel in a career we are also lucky enough to call a hobby. We can provide CVs and references, including our current employer/farm owners. We are currently on annual leave so phone or video calling is easily arranged for further discussion and to get to know us.

We are applying for a spouse visa which is the most appropriate immigration path for long term settlement and would initially allow Andrew the right to live and work in the UK for a solid 33 months with me as his sponsor. To do this we would need at least the offer of employment, although a confirmed position would be appreciated. So, if you could see yourself possibly working with people like us in the near future, or think you could assist us in any way, please don't hesitate to contact us!

We look forward to hearing from you!

Jenny & Andrew
