Well there you go. In their days, ddt was safe, aldrin was safe, benlate was safe, op sheep dip, not only safe but compulsory so just crack on then and hope the nhs gets its act together (y)
To be honest they were judged against much lower criteria in those days, not saying that its a good idea to use it preharvest, but what about lots of drugs we take most are harmful if not used correctly, even salt which we must have to live will kill us with a overdose, its dose not chemical that kills. The trouble is these days the truth is a very rare commodity too many vested interests in everything, whether thats brexit, chemicals or global warming

You are a liar; you have made regular reference to your concerns regarding your holdings and the value of them.

That's not actually true. For sure I was set back about the timming as I was mid contract on the freehold changes and had, I put my hands up, taken a chance. If things hadn't panned out we could of ended up on the streets. A one off time. Seriously I don't give a fig, I put £300 of tyres on the escort to turn to canvas in 15 mins because I can and it's a bit of fun. If I can't do so then I won't, I really don't care. These farms can be worth 2 quid or 2 mill, no odds to me eigher way as I'm not looking to sell them.
My references to my land in the uk loosing value is purely to illustrate what a f**k up you have made. Any road, it's sold now (at 65% previous value- and I don't care about that either, as long as I'm shot of the place)

oh and lets not have it banned here or in the EU for that matter and then import things that have had it used on because that would be rather silly, it is either safe on the food its used on or not, not safe as long as some bugger far away uses it and we eat the food, that makes no sense at all
If it is deemed unsafe by the U.K. Or EU then an overseas producer cannot use the sprays etc if he wants to sell his produce into the EU Therefore some bugger far away cannot use it on the food you eat.

Can you enlighten us to the broader picture because I for one cannot see what it is.

It is to re-create the European Family, or as much of it as we can, and provide it with a structure under which it can dwell in peace, in safety and in freedom.

We must build a kind of United States of Europe.

In this way only will hundreds of millions of toilers be able to regain the simple joys and hopes which make life worth living.

The process is simple.

All that is needed is the resolve of hundreds of millions of men and women to do right instead of wrong, and gain as their reward, blessing instead of cursing.

Would you make the same comment if you knew who said it??
Yes just look at the difference in work ethnic between the southern states and the northern ones, add in the religeous question plus hundreds of years of historic fighting, you mentioned the dislike of some of the french have towards some of the english, some of the scots dont even want to be part of the uk, bad blood from the Irish history with the british, you dont even want to live in europe, it would take many generations to forget all that. Look at what happened in yugoslavia they were peaceful by force for a while then all hell let loose. Do you really think there is any desire anywhere in europe for a united states except in the heads of a few politicans who want to go down in history.
Please dont say the USA did it, they dont have thousands of years of fighting to get over and they killed many of the the natives and fenced those they didnt into reservations, much like the Aussies and the aboriginals, plenty of native NZ citizens arent that keen on the white settlors are they, both countries are ruled by "new comers" who did it originally by force of numbers not by agreement

If this is what its all about keeping the peace how come European countries that are not in the EU have done less fighting

I tend to agree with you, and the view of a United States of Europe is an idealistic one. Should countries and their citizens strive to reach that ideal or would it be simpler just to be more nationalistic, pull up the drawbridge and only consider oneself ?
