Hello everyone, I am new to the farm business i want to submit a tender for a 17.40 acres farm land in the northern part of Uk i am confused on what amount or rental value to tender can someone guide me please.

Water and fencing in order?

Annual grazing license or 10 year FBT?

Have rented land between £10/ac and £200/ac.

Never do that anyway. Even for free, unless you get it for £35 and rent it to someone else for £70. £35*17 £600 hardly worth the hassle.

Yep , and if it was to be put on the market it could fetch up to half a million quid ...

the old measure used to be a tonne of wheat per acre.
So we're still at anywhere between £120 and £270.

Which crop/s? Veg growers down here pay a lot more than you can make from growing cereals. Have you done all your costings and know what you can afford to pay?
