Hi,
As part of my final year dissertation at Harper Adams, I am looking into Stakeholders perception of farm assurance schemes within the UK.
If you are a farm owner/manager I would really appreciate if you could spare 5 minutes to answer my survey!
Thank you in advance! :)

All you need to know is no other country in the world has farm level assurance. Yet this country imports none assured and then mixes it with our own assured. It’s corrupt.

I take it your not a farmers daughter, or you would already know....

Oh, farmers are apparently not stakeholders. (AHDB apparently asked stakeholders about the levy rise, but plenty of farmers knew nothing about it )
if you want stakeholders perception, your asking in the wrong place, we are farmers. Stakeholders are supermarkets..
@Vader is correct, farmers are not construed to be stakeholders of RT or AHDB, the stakeholders are NFU, NFU Cymru NFU Scotland, AIC and BRC. @Katie.hughes you need to change the wording on the farmers side to Farmer members from stakeholders.
Survey completed from my side, it very much includes farmers, so fill it in @Vader you big grump!

I am always grumpy with surveys as hardly ever fill them in as results are easy manipulated to suit whats desired.

@Katie.hughes Im afraid youve had chapter and verse off me in your survey. You appear to have started from the presumption that RT assurance is a good thing? You will have gathered from my responses that I am not happy with RT or the GFC or the bodies that colluded in its preparation and voted it through - and there arent many farmers who understand/know about it that are. I hope your dissertation will reflect the strength of feeling against RT and the GFC that I believe your survey will show and that you can get it to a wider audience

But please remember @Katie.hughes that the only stakeholders in this assurance charade are the farmers .
Other staffers and hangers on are able to pass their costs down. WE PAY it ALL. Thus are the only stakeholders.
So you may understand why we were less than happy when we learned of the ‘deep dive’ into RT governance, carried out over Christmas and New Year, was merely addressed to those either employed by RT or who stood to benefit from its GFC heist.

How does that work for AHDB then?
We pay the lions share of their bill, yet we aren’t even consulted as ‘stakeholders’ when they bump their fees up (although apparently all stakeholders wholeheartedly agreed with the move).

Bin the lot if they’ve that attitude.

Kate, on a recent poll on here only 10% of farmers were in favour of RT FA.................. I think several of those 10% had a vested interest or payment from RT.

90% of farmers hated it........... or actually more accurately detested it.
Precisely
