Most struggling farmers I know are far from having an intimate knowledge of all aspects of their business, even if they made it by themselves - especially when it comes to observation of their landscape, usually quick to point out areas they see as liabilities simply because they lack the tools to make them assets.
And most focus on their strengths over their weaknesses, usually where their money is spent.
