Then someone will come along and tell him he should cut down on his antibiotics usage and better management would have prevented that………..but could they do better themselves?
We got a real lameness problem atm a couple of thousand ewe lambs, our yard had a footpath next to it, someone asked me yesterday why I was jabbing with antibiotics and not spraying with purple spray every 12 hours like he does on his six sheep. 🤔. Experts everywhere.

You should be dipping the affected feet in a 5L jug of lincospectin solution every day :)
What utter rubbish! Good God above; how effective is that going to be! Eh?

Such treatment needs to be done at least three times a day, with an approved sedative administered half an hour prior to each treatment being carried out.

A consent form C12/NT needs to be filled in by the operative within an hour of each treatment being completed, and each treatment should also be preceded by a comprehensive risk assessment analysis, proof of which needs to be provided by a witnessed signature of a suitably qualified person of standing in the community, ie Doctor, Magistrate, County Councillor or Peter Bone MP.

It is imperative that both forms be received by Red Tractor Administrative Headquarters within 48 hours of each treatment module being completed.

Failure to comply with or meet proscribed deadlines can incur a maximum penalty of up to £1,000 per offence, and /or transportation to serve up to three years hard labour as apprentice flagellant pursuivant to Lord Baldrick of Anglesey Bt. DFC. KC & the Sunshine Band.
