Feeding beet and silage to weanlings

I’m going to feed beet and ad-lib first cut silage to bucket reared Weanlings do they need meal aswell?

Probably depend on how pokey the silage is i reckon, get away with it if its got some protein rich clover in it. I would feed a tiny amount of corn and loose mineral mixed in especially for young weanlings.

guess you need a bit of protien and minerals, beet need to be clean, our ,s are just dirty enough at the moment but stronger cattle will stand a bit
