Which wooden posts have longevity? I’m thinking either creosote or acacia?
I’ve got CS funding to help but the agreement is this year so it needs to be wood not metal.
what does everyone recommend? Creosote? Acacia? Or other?
I want them to last as long as possible. It’s wet land (usually!)

Creosote, but has to be red wood properly done. There's a lot claiming to be creosote that is white wood which won't absorb it,and a lot is creosote replacer which is like heating oil with dye in it. Having said that, there's nothing worse than using creosote posts in the summer. Post rammer, hammer etc hitting the post atomises it and You're in a mist of it.

Sadly our recycled plastic posts aren't currently eligible in FG1/FG2 but we hope they will be for next year. Ideal in areas that lay wet.
