looks like a fairly flimsy but non vital bit anyway ......designed to be taken off when not in use?......if it works just crack on and use mole grips to adjust

Your 100% , that bit is gone off mine years , works away without it.

The missing bit adjusts the shutters in the base of the hopper and hence the seed rate. As said parts are no longer available. It should be possible to cobble something together.
Ridges was the main agent for Ballycarry and the surrounding area.

Yes it’s for setting the seed rate , but I have mine set at the standard rate for grass seed and have it locked with a jubliclip.

A good person with a 3d printer is what's needed.

The setting depends on the mixture though. Something like a high clover mixture needs a lower setting.

Yes I adjust it with a tip of the hammer and move the jubliclip, can’t beat experience.

I have a man lined up who can scan/draw and replicate using 3D printing. All I need is a access to a complete one. Would make it worth some ones while and supply them a spare one too. Any takers?
