FJD Perimeter Area measurement??

I have 2-3 instances recently, when I would like to drive around an area of land, and get an accurate area of say, a block of Stewardship.

Like many, I can use a phone/tablet, but I have found in the past when measuring with RTK on my tablet versus using the "less accurate" GPS receiver in a mobile/tablet, to see some big differences, especially on smaller or awkward areas.

Is it possible to do a perimeter measurement with the FJD systems?

Thank you, i will have a look at that tomorrow and see if I can suss it out. Not bothered with fields before, as such. ;)

Did you put in a working width a bit wider that the tracotr, and drive close to the headland edge?
If you go to the record a boundary, it asks where you are recording it from, so with implement attached, left right or center

This function was drawn on a piece of paper by myself and sent to the FJD R&D team about 18months ago for them to develop. They did it, and is now in Advanced functions, you need to tell it the width of the implement and which side of the machine the boundary is on when you start to drive the boundary.

Yes, have done it a couple of times using the advanced mode, to enter fields into the system. Worked well.
In Firmware release later in year, there will be only 1 mode. It has much more user friendly interface, with less button pressing to get the same results. This as with all updates is free with the system. Please drop me your details if you wish to be contacted to update
