KV FRO series is a very strong machine.

I abuse the hell out of mine and it deals with it, I was only thinking this last week how good it has been. I was mowing off 5 year old apple trees with it at the time!
Has hammer flails and will take big chunks of wood, it does do grass fine too but maybe something with different flails would suit grass topping better if that was its main job. These seem built for much more than that.
Excellent service off the seller too, it arrived within a couple of days.
I have no affiliation with the seller, just a happy customer.

I've got a Teagle Dual 280 and rate it highly.

Cuts grass and heavier thicker stuff nicely.

Only thing I had with it, was the seals around the PTO stubs on the gearbox weaped a bit of oil, all sorted under warranty not a big job.

Would there be much involved in converting this to use on the rear of a reverse drive Valtra?

Mine neither but I’m assuming it would be the wrong way for front mounting on the rear of the tractor. Can you flip the gearbox or something?

If it turns the conventional way then you’d need to turn the flails and hitch the machine on the wrong way with roller to the tractor

Just bought a Maschio Bisconte from Cornthwaites, best price I was quoted, but can’t comment on it as we havent had chance to use it yet!

The rotor on that machine is directional, ‘shark fin’ flail brackets designed to reduce damage when hitting solid objects.

Ring Muthing directly and ask? They will surely have a replacement gearbox to sell you if you want to go reverse drive?

Just had a proper look and it can be done by flipping the gearbox

Being a Muthing I wasn't surprised, they seem very well thought out machines. I've had a go with one on the front and on the back. Heck of a bit of kit. Surprised someone hasn't snapped your hand off and bought yours yet.

I can recommend tehnos as an alternative to the main brands. I bought one instead of a teagle which also looked good. Maschio stuff in general is also good imo,
