Frontier haulage

Is it just frontier that are hopeless for getting seed delivered and corn moved this year or are everyone else struggling?

Farmers round here have resorted to going to fetch seed them selves and also been moving grain off farm in tractors and trailers as no lorries.

we’re currently at the stage we’re grain is past it’s movement date and promised (booked) lorries not turning up. I’m seriously thinking of just selling it to someone else and telling frontier tough as they defaulted.

And what’s more annoying is I’ve been a small but fairly loyal customer of there’s for a long time now! Maybe it’s time they lost some of my business to someone else as a wake up call.

Other big ones also abit slow, smaller merchants seem better.
you may have noticed there is quite a few issues involving driver and fuel shortages.
That’s why I haven’t been chasing my wheat seed as of yet as we all have to make the best of it. But it would be good if we could get an eta as i said to my merchant not a problem if they cannot deliver just let me know and I will get more dressed when they come.

Might be but bean seed, wheat seed and dressers have all been booked for a while so I am not going to turn into one of those @rseholes who rings 5 times a day asking where it is
There has been quite a lot of talk on twitter from agronomists and people who work at merchants that they are getting severe amounts of abuse from farmers.

They have been ok for me with seed delivery this year, they have also delivered me an extra 8 tonne of seed which I didn't order on 4 different wagons!!!!! that went back, that's as good as it gets i'm afraid with them, quality of seed has been dreadful especially Dawsum and Hawking badly cleaned and TGW OF 42 and 44.
And don't get me onto spring beans and losing samples and pi$$ take prices.

Tbh most of the reps there have fancy motors, it be no big deal for them to have a couple of ifor s at depos so small seed lots could be dropped off by reps if needs be.
