I was surprised how well it was going, a few frozen lumps in one field the other was just powder. There is a footpath across some of it I hit that too fast with the press and broke a shear bolt. It was like concrete

Suppose being cold there aren't many, donkeys, deck chairs, dog walkers and parasols to avoid on there this week? whens tide come in?

Its like the A303 in August with walkers, thought the cold would keep them indoors but I was wrong.

I’ll take a photo tomorrow, 20 ac in this afternoon. Was beans, soil cold but a nice seedbed. Showers and warmer forecast next week so hopefully a steady start. I like to take the opportunity as I know late drilling can be bad if it goes dry and the plants are small

Did some overnight several years ago after beet with a combi-drill. Went well and came Ok eventually but wore the PH tines out. Was frightened to death of something going bang!
