I’ve only dealt with them once maybe 5 years since and won’t be returning. Rung Martin up about a sprayer advertised, said to deal with the salesman (Ben?)
arranged to go there to see it on a tractor to check it out. When I arrived at the office he said it was at the farm up the road ready for us and there was a farm worker there to show us it, have a play and come back to see me when your done.
when we got to the farm there was no tractor on the sprayer, so looked around to find someone. A lad said I’m really busy, know nothing about this but there is a tractor over there just help yourself. I put sprayer on the tractor but it was load sensing and the fittings were wrong. Rung salesman who said come back to office there’s a hydraulic place next door, get what you want and go back and fit it. So I did and got it all plumbed up ready to go, then realised there was no control box!
Another phone call and come back to office the control box is here, so I did. When he handed the control box over I said this isn’t for that sprayer. He was confused, his secretary (Tracey?) agreed and said it was for a different sprayer aswell. They couldn’t find the control box at all so I couldn’t see it working. I ended up leaving after wasting about 5 hours of my day including travelling.

Think I would have left well before that.... 😬

why because it’s true? Had a bit of lipstick service off the lorry you even see these s/h dealers at Cambridge buying all this so called junk/rubbish that’s broke and no good for nothing be suprised how much stuff ends up back in a dealers yard at a substantial price rise
Yes it’s that simple. Why don’t you have a go and report back when you’ve made your millions

They had a tractor on the website that I was interested in, poa so I emailed to ask the price, £21k was the reply. I thought that a bit strong so left it. Was browsing the website a few weeks later and it was still there, but this time with a price, £17.5k! A few days later it had gone.

I'm well aware that they can ask what they like for stuff, but I won't bother with them again.

I'm quite happy to accept that profit is good.
They found its true value to someone then, at £17.5k. But I bet handled differently, you'd have gone at £19k. Which is a slightly odd way to do business to my way of thinking.
Unless your only dialogue was to tell them to poke it, of course :ROFLMAO: .

I buy a lorry load from there every month. If you actually thing being a dealer and doing the job properly as some do is that easy then you’re totally deluded.
I suspect you’re more associated with the lot numbers wiped and punt it on brigade

Farmerman is right the 8530 on their website was in Cambridge machinery sales as were others. However The 6920s has nearly been on his website a year the 8430 was from a genuine dispersal at the beginning of this year.

I wouldn’t say he buys junk though, No hiding the fact they are buying decent stuff at high prices and sticking a nice bit on it, amazing how much you can pay and how long something can sit in the yard when it’s propped up by the well paying demand for storage.

Very true. Quite embarrassing some of the adverts you see.
Or photographed at the bottom of the trailer ramps within minutes of getting it home and pretend it’s all been workshop checked and serviced

There was a basic Zetor on there recently (I think it was about 10 reg) had "air seat", "air conditioning" and possibly push-back hitch ( I`m not 100% certain on that one) - just seemed a bit too good to be true!!;)
