Gateposts into shed Chalk floor

Looking to divide a 45ft wide shed with chalk floor. Have 16, 14, and 11ft gates on farm already. Would 100mm square box posts 8ft long driven into floor 3ft, be able to support the gates without moving. Could possibly use sleepers as alternative. Thanks for any opinions.

I put a row of sockets in for 100 x 100 square posts, to divide ours in two. Bateman if I remember correctly, you get a sleeve to set in the concrete fr a few bob and the top of the sleeve gives you the correct height, somehow. Makes cleaning the shed a whole lot easier. The front of our shed has the same, 12 yrs and still in line. (but slamming post, hung on stanchions)

For cows? No, sheep maybe but suspect they will work loose. Concreted mine in because they worked loose.

Are we talking a 6" later of chalk over subsoil or chalk bedrock?

I wouldn't be happy hanging 14 and 16' gates with only 3 foot in the ground but if the post is going into solid rock then you may get away with it.

Wrap cardboard around post then silage film before concreting in and you'll have post's that will lift out without buying sockets
Tried this once, never again. A pig to lift out to get the wrapping off and then the post is too slack in the hole. I use 3mm plate to space the socket against the post (I make sockets from plate, but could buy thick 120mm box instead)
