Gem SP Sprayer question.

I have a Gem Emerald. The answer is possibly the same on a Sapphire, I'm not sure.

I have a switch in the cab to increase and decrease the pressure in the Ramsay Valve. Presumably this is done by a small compressor somewhere.
When I press the switch, the fuse blows so something clearly isn't right.

Where IS the compressor? I can't find it anywhere?! There is a chance it's not there, and that's part of the problem.

This may be of no use at all.
Never had a trailed sprayer, but did have a Case mounted.
The little compressor they used was in a black box with four screws that had seized.

There could be something like this on yours ?

It housed a 12 volt compressor that could seize up, but was cheap enough to sort.

Try and follow the pipework from the Ramsay back. The compressors are similar to those used in a 12v tyre inflation kit so if can find a cheap one to break, it up may save you a few pennies.G

On my emerald it’s in the engine bay right hand side as you sit on seat. I just have a cheapo 12v compressor running it cost about £10

Ah, another Emerald owner! Few and far between!

Have you ever had any bother with the foot switch for switching between 2 and 4 wheel steer?

Not that I remember only problem with 4ws was a knackerd switch to tell if wheels are straight. @Graham Smith sieted me a new one. Been a good reliable sprayer

Can only assume it's meant to be here:

I inflate the Ramsay manually at this valve.

@Graham Smith Can you tell me any more about this steering switch? Where can it be found

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
