GPS tracking collars

Does anyone have any information or experience of using GPS tracking collars on cattle in an extensive hill situation. I'm not talking about no-fence collars as I only want to locate cattle when checking at calving. @unlacedgecko talked about them being used on sheep on his visit to Norway and I'm keen to try similar on our cows. Looking the internet there seems to be a few advertised for dogs as well as livestock which look a reasonable price if they could do the job.

I'm pretty sure @JohnGalway had a thread about this a few years back but I can't remember if he was looking for something like you are, or something more like no-fence. I also can't remember if he got anywhere.

I assume you have good mobile phone data coverage of the area as the primary issue will be getting the locations transmitted from the collars and satellite internet is not yet practical for collars.

NoFence and I haven't yet but hope to before next grazing season

A friend of mine has used them for some white parks he was managing on a large estate block down here.
They work pretty well by all accounts can find out what make he used if that's helpful
