Grass seeds

I bought some grass seed from @Derrick Hughes three or more months ago.
I recently dusted off my highly technical and computer operated Aero and set to spreading said seed at the correct per hectare rate.
After this very careful calculated operation I ran up and down using my satellite guided Honda quad with a very up-to-date 1.2m set of chain harrows.
The weather then changed and it rained and the seeds sprouted. They are now about 75mm tall. Perfect😎
I’m very pleased👍

Define 'grass seed'? Are we talking agricultural herbage grasses or lawn seed or what?

Days are getting a bit short and temperatures dropping now

Herbage will germinate but grow slow, clover will struggle when soil drops below 10°C, and your cannabis won't develop much of a "kick" (apparently)

Depends on ground conditions, weather, type of grass as some will stick being put in later than others, method of planting & also why your last attempt failed. Wouldn’t be too late if everything is in its favour.

I’m still planting grass Italian I am not worried about until mid October. Have some diploid/tetraploid mixes to do. Would rather it had been in by now. Should go in the next few days so not giving up. No clover in any of it.

I am a bit further south than @harvey121. Some on easy chalk the rest a sticky wet silt.
