Grasshopper mower advice

Morning all

Looking for some advice for the old grasshopper mowers.

Got some here and get on well with them for ease of repair etc and great cutting mowers.

Also now have a conditioner, but it came separate to any mower. It is oil driven and I dependant of the mower per say but lifts seperatly etc.

Anyone remember how they were set up regards running? Direct oil from spools or seperate pump? One of the mowers has an oil tank on the drawbar but not the one that allegedly had the conditioner fitted!!

Appreciate input!

Separate pump driven from a pulley on the pto shaft I think, but there is probably a good reason it’s been taken off.The conditioner part was very heavy and used to break the mower frame as far as I can remember.Happy memories of using one for a grass drying plant back in the 80s.I should forget about the conditioner!

Ah.... Could well believe that and would take a bit to drive?

So the tank would be a closed system with a pump? Mmmm

Yeah think it was,and the conditioner had brushes instead of tines? We had a brush type pick up as an experiment, don’t recall that lasting long either!
