Greenstar activations

Having a different brand of GPS equipment, I don’t have any JD Greenstar experience but would consider it on another JD tractor. Could anyone please explain the pricing structure of the JD system and what would be needed for radio RTK on an autotrac ready tractor ? Thanks.

Must be a complicated question, so I’ll be more specific.
Are GS accuracy activations specific to the receivers or the screens, and are they transferable?

An update on JD activations would be nice. My understanding is that there may be a yearly fee too if you want to use "a foreign RTK correction source", not one provided by JD?

Its the dome on the roof that has the unlock whether its on basic SF1, upgraded to SF3 or upgraded again to RTK. Domes can't have there accuracy unlocks transferred I'm pretty sure, whether you could move an SF3 subscription for example onto another SF3 unlocked dome I don't know, I would like to think you can but no doubt you probably can't.
Screens need to be autotrac ready to enable steering, there is another unlock for the screen if you want section control etc. Price wise I've got some rough ideas of some unlocks etc but really they need a grid showing what each unlock costs to go to each level and then the annual sub on top of that.

Thanks Shutesy. Are all domes SF1 by default? So SF3 and RTK unlocks would needed for a 6000 dome. Plus radio. Any idea about annual licenses on top of that, as it was mentioned above that non JD sources of RTK had to pay for the privelege of entering the system.

I got quoted SF3 to RTK activation 2200 euro, 1800 euro for the modem and 650 euro subscription, sim included. I think it's around 250 euro yearly fee if you use a third party correction signal.

I don't remember how much the SF3 activation was but probably around 2000 euro as well

Is the tractor Autotrac activated
what screen are you running
And what activation has the Starfire got

so currently
A screen need unlocking to work autotrac and non transferable on gen 4 ie 4200/4600 tractor screens “current 6r and above “

Starfire is SF1 by default
Then unlock to SF3 and annual substation needed for accuracy
Then Unlock For RTK radio or NTrip
And JD 869 radio or 4G modem for NTrip

same for a SF3000
All beit SF2
Starfire activation are transferable

CPP, thank you for the clarification.

To answer your question it would be a 4600 screen with autotrac activated R,series.

So you need to unlock SF3 and continue to pay an annual subscription for that even though using RTK for corrections?

What is the form with external / non JD RTK input ? Could a 450 radio be used ?

No you need to unlock to sf3 and then you need a subscription for sf3

for rtk you need to unlock sf3 and rtk
Only way for rtk is via a Jd869 radio pack or via a modem on a ntrip service
