Here we are - MF35x hard at work in South Devon around 1975. Lambourne cab with canvas off.
Just a run of the mill working tractor in those days - by no means a classic at that time.
Only tractor on the farm - did all the work, ploughing, cultivation and drilling, baling and hauling bales, pto drive for grain mill and shearing gear.
My dad on board working to keep the family fed - 4 children - 80 acres as a tenant and a bit of extra summer grass keep.
Sadly no longer with us.

I would think if the lights were switched on, she would struggle to pull the spreader empty, let alone full

@Hawkes You must be in the only flat part of Devon! We used to put on "five high and a tier" in the South Hams. Kids on top of the load going back to barn. Hand operated trailer brake on the final steep hill. We all survived! Fantastic times.

Around 1975, not sure what h&s would make of it now. I was only allowed short rides on the combine because of the dust. Cab was home made by my Gramps in the early 80's.
MF178 was main tractor on 250ace farm. Replaced by a Ford7000 and then a MF590.
MF135 was got new in 1977 and stayed until Gramps packed up in 1989.

Good old Scammel trailer. A lot of those had second lives on farms.

Good to see the loader could come off in those days, seems way to hard to do now, I have see tractors towing trailed sprayers with a loader on???

I would think taken in about 1968/69. Ford 3000 ( new in 1965 ) and Wuffler. Grandmother has been plonked on it for the day by the looks of it. Taken off a slide, so everything is in reverse.

Dont need that ether, my spraying tractor has a weight carrying casting but has never had weights on it, being 4WD its only heavy implements need the ballast.

Yes but you learned to drive without doing "dry" steering, a bad habit most people seem to have now.

A lovely selection of masseys, thanks for sharing them, Here's my father just finished mowing with his 575, always says it was one of the best tractors he owned.

changed it for a 4wd a few years later and it was dogged with problems which left him very disapointed.
