world economic Armageddon is on the way untill there is mass vaccination

Yep I fear so. I am just trying to work out how many folk are going to be financially ruined. I am not sure there will be enough cash around to pay pensions of non civil servants. Starting to go pear shaped in East Asia. We can but hope China goes down again and does not get stronger. I fear in a coupe of years war.

I don’t think of that as defeatist and funnily enough I was saying to Mrs Cz today we should maybe try and catch it in September to have protection through the winter

It's a risk - some get it and recover with minimal pain, and then the next one can be hit for six for a three month bed-ridden exhaustion. Then there's the small percentage of young and healthy who will be killed - it's not all old and ill folks who are dying, is it? Seems to be no real reason for it either, which is the strange part.

I think if you're that way inclined, I'd be going to try get it now though, whilst the hospitals are empty but the doctors have some understanding of effective treatments. The trouble is that the way to get it would be to be lax with hygiene and make loads of contacts. Trouble is that you risk spreading it to those contacts as much as catch it from them and I personally couldn't have that on my concience.

I am absolutely certain that every single person that has been to Spain will stay indoors and not meet anyone for 14 days when they return. Yup, absolutely sure.

I can just imagine the bosses who have given the workers time off to go to Spain will never say "get back here or no job". No, never.

Just nipping out to make sure all the pigs land safely.

Then there will be all those coming back through the channel ports who "only went to Brittany".

I have been trying to talk my brother out of his family holiday to tenerife for weeks now. Unfortunately they got suckered by the general advice not to cancel their holiday earlier this year because if they cancel they lose their deposit but if the travel agents cancel they get all their money back. Because they delayed there is a clause that says that if they cancel within a certain timeline they still have to pay 70% of the holiday cost even if they don't go! I informed him of all the reports of people turning up for their package holiday to find that their hotel is closed under governmental instructions. These people either had to sleep on the beach or pay hundreds for alternative accommodation that they had to organise!!! Luckily, after they looked into it, the travel agents cancelled the holiday as the hotel is closed until september. I wonder what would have happened if they hadn't started looking into it. I offered to pay my brother for his holiday because I would rather have them alive than three thousand in the bank! I can't believe people are putting their families at risk for the sake of a bit or sun that they can probably get next year with the benefit of a vaccine!

I think any boss who said that would be in front of an industrial tribunal quicker than you can say constructive dismissal.

You might be wasting your time. Current observations are showing peak antibodies about a month after contracting Covid. After that they appear to fall away quite rapidly.

I've read that, too. Within 90 days the antibodies are gone, filtered out by normal processes. This is however typical of how the immune system, endlessly producing antibodies would not be useful.

Outbreaks apparently mostly in agricultural regions very rarely visited by tourists.
Guess it'll be coming here in truck loads with the produce and packaging then?
One of the areas that has been hit in Catalonia is Lleida which is a big fruit, particularly pear, growing area for the canning industry, suspect it could be linked to workers moving into the area for picking and processing.
