Done all the above with cow manager very successfully. Can't see allflex will be much different.
80 out of 80 heifers served in 21 days.
Sole fertility input is to now serve the cows standing in the pen. Everything to get them in the pen now is fully automated.
That’s the info I want to hear, we are fitting the Allflex/saber drafting gate so makes sense to add there collars at some point

Just resurrecting this thread, seriously looking at allflex sensehub for cows and heifers, be interested to hear how others are getting on, would be for a 330 cow autumn calving unit with 80 heifer replacements. Aim is to reduce workload but to also replace our heifer sync program with natural service and stop using stock bulls
We use sensehub collars on both our heifers and cows, Autumn calving as well, can’t recommend it enough. Think it probably paid for itself in the first year, now in second year using it, used to rent nedap collars for the heifers before. Excellent for picking up any health problems very early. Have only had to call Allflex once with a problem (an auto update on software didn’t work) and they sorted it straight away.

Replaced gea collars with Alta (Needap) in the summer. Also have a few cow manager tags just for heifers. The cow manager will go at some point and will just have 1 system. Both are excellent, went for Alta mainly because it talks to the gea parlour so we didn’t need to keep running the old collars just for identification.

Most of the 12 year old gea collars still work. Hopefully the new ones will last as long.

Fitted sensehub partially due to the good reviews on here, but mostly due to their no quibble 5 year full tag warranty. Afi, Nedap and Sensehub were all similar priced.

Very impressed so far, the phone app is very useful.

I’ve found if you click on cow card, it shows activity and rumination, 99% of the time bulling cows will spike activity and drop rumination, randy in calf cows don’t generally have a drop in rumination.

Gea dealer said batteries are good for 10 years, can't quite recall if that was warrenty. He also said they had close to 15 years old still going strong.

How are you getting on with this now.? We are looking at nedap and sensehub
It's great. Gives you plenty notice (usually around 24hrs) and a nice window for AI, meaning you can plan your day early on. If I start moving maiden heifers about, into new groups it can throw up a lot of false positives, so have learned just to keep them where they are until PD+.
