We switched last year due to the cost of heptavac, and haven't seen any downsides. Bank balance is healthier though.
I can't comment on young lambs though as we don't vaccinate them.
Yeah I’m thinking of doing the same. The old claim about the missing p part is wearing thin I don’t think it’s worth the paper it’s written on now

Two years ago we stopped doing ewes with it . Still do ewe hoggs with it but then switch them onto Covexin 10, not noticed any difference .

Last year we couldn't get bravoxin and were told that one dose of covexin would be the same for boosters. Lost a lot of lambs with dysentry.
For the last 8(?) years we have vaccinated ewes pre lambing with Bravoxin on the basis that we don't lose anything to Pasteurella until the autumn. The lambs then get Heptovac as youngsters ... seems to cover everything here but different areas might have different risks

Switched the crossbred ewes over from Heptavac to Bravoxin 6 or 7 years ago, having had a couple of pasteurella outbreaks in vaccinated sheep, which came back as strains not covered by the vaccine. Losses no different.
Pedigrees still on Heptavac, purely as most that are sold go onto farms already on that system.
Lambs are covered with Ovivac P, as pasteurella generally causes an issue here in lambs from close to weaning. Still not sure it’s worth the extra cost on those, compared to Bravoxin/Covexin.

Dropped Heptavac P about 20 years ago.
It says it's a 7-in-1 vaccine but the Pneumonia is one of the 7 so it only covers 6 Clostridials...
Bravoxin and Covexin10 covers 10 Clostridials and are a fraction of the price - and offer over 90% of the same level of pneumonia cover (Heptavac only covers a very small number of Pneumonia strains so you're still at risk even when vaccinated!)....

Got to the stage where I felt like telling MSD to shove their little plastic bottles 'somewhere uncomfortable' 'cos they're getting very expensive.

Now can't get Bravoxin at all. No Covexin 10 in 50ml. Whatever is going on? Both Harbro and vet ssy the same.
I’m told covexin 10 and bravoxin are the same product.

Yes different companies. But seems you can't get 50ml in either now. It was convenient for doing small mobs of lambs
