Brilliant little thing. As well as dag it Will shear sheep nicely.just need to keep a eye on the flex as you work around.I am thinking about getting a horner rambo mains and was wondering what they are like and are there any other brands to look at at the same price.
Sold mine, evertime i needed it the battery was flat, just carry a pair of jokotis in the gator now, if there's alot to do i just set the machine upI am thinking about getting a horner rambo mains and was wondering what they are like and are there any other brands to look at at the same price.
yeah but combined deal of mains and 12v one is 399 looks like it.Buy the mains one £329 and add the 12v transformer £100 and save £4 over buying 12v one £359 and adding mains transformer £74
For clarification.
theres 3 different versions of the Rambo .
all 3 kits share the same (24v motor in) handpiece with the same yellow long flex.
In the case of the mains version as mentioned by the op Its still 24v DC at the handpiece.and the yellow flex that goes directly to the handpiece which makes it much safer than those other makes of mains motor in handpiece types ,which have 240v AC right to and in the handpiece itself.
the three different types,(mains ,pouch battery ,12v car battery . ...can be mixed and matched ,
1. the mains version asabove has its own 24vDc from 240ac transformer to yellow flex > handpiece
2. or like by adding a 12v car battery to 24v ''step up' box to the handpiece via the yellow flex
3. or by the addition of a rechargeable 24v battery which is carried in a pouch again to the hand piece via the same yellow flex IYSWIM
clever system really , weve only got the mains version and it will run 92mm combs happily i find.
