Horsch CO4 in wet conditions?

Getting concerned about the wet conditions and considering buying a 2nd drill to increase capacity, we already run a strip til drill so ground is used to DD.
I've no idea how these drills run in sticky clay

The base plate on the duet coulter will smear the soil on saturated clay but this is a bigger issue on the sprinter drills with the stronger springs. They are good drills for putting the seed in the ground but the rear tyre packer will pan the headland so drill that last if wet. Car tyre rear packer is worst for panning as well as punctures. The drill does not need a perfect seedbed to work and it will cope with large amounts of trash. CO4 would need about 120 hp minimum on clay. If soil is very wet you don’t have to put 2t in the hopper.

That should be good for beans and wheat assuming the beans will flow through the coulters. Won’t require too much hp to pull either. Wider row spacing would be a concern with barley. If using on cultivated soil with blackgrass, then you will find that the blackgrass will thrive between the rows.

I’m thinking my front hopper option conversion for our ULD CO6 maybe have been an inspired move if this weather keeps up !
