All our early OSR we pulled out due to larvae infested stems and full blackgrass and cranesbill.
Direct drilled with our Rapide drill on 28th September, been a mild winter, but crop now looks viable and super cheap.

Two fields written off next door both had sludge before drilling but this field had tiger fert.

With quite a few crops ripped up it makes growing rape a very expensive and risky option in some situations.

Probably still beats spring OSR though!

Benefits of mixed farming, being able to graze written off OSR with sheep!. DD took well on the lighter patches but not on the stiffer. Those on here who said OSR was the hardest crop to DD should be listened too.

Drilled with a Mzuri Rehab on Aug 18. 4kg/ha FSS, No insecticides or pre-em used, 20 years no-till.
Travelling very well, managed to get the ammonium sulphate on yesterday.
Some odd plants starting to show larval damage but I think we got lucky. 95% of what we drilled should make a crop.

This is the best bit yesterday. The worst is about 1/3rd the size of this but is moving aswell. No insecticides and whilst there is flea beetle it’s not too bad.
first time grown it for a while and lots learnt to improve upon next year.

Had a drive back from Wales last week. Went passed some mega crops of osr and wheat in this area, couldn't stop but took a screenshot of where I was. It was soon back to normal though
If it's anyone on here who farms the crops, congratulations!

Great looking crop, is the Rehab as good as it looks? looks like a more cost affective and lighter version of a Sumo Lds/Gls
