Getting too much smashed up stalk in the sample. I’m trying to cut as high as possible, concave set at 35mm. Any suggestions to get a better sample please?
Try going faster to fill it up a bit. It always seems to help our sample.

Well, my rape looked poor all year really.
And I don't think it's failed to live up to expectations.
Reckon something like a tonne to a tonne and a quarter per acre.
Will know better once it's weighed into store.
But at least it made it to harvest.
I know, and yes a small margin. Whilst cutting it I was thinking at least it's made harvest, whereas an awful lot hadn't for less fortunate folk.if you grew it cheap that’s not a bad result and could produce a positive margin ?
Clean sample thoughNot as full as I'd hoped
Push the yield up a bit open the sieves drop the fan speed a little bit of rubbish is worth £330 a ton so might as well have some in the sample . All good as long as you don't overdo it .
Do you suffer with flea beetle at all?we get deductions for admixture in oilseeds - sunflowers & canola . . .
if there is 2% trash in the sample, the weight paid for is reduced by 2%
Osr looking excellent here, much better establishment than last year and no sign of beetles yet.
