How to get rid of a Static Caravan.

We've got 2 static caravans in our yard, which need to go.

Has anyone got any experience or tips as to the best place to advertise them to get them gone?

One is old, but wind and water tight- would be great for a lunch room or storage, but not really for living.

The other one is habitable (I'm still inhabiting it!), had a brand new combi boiler last month.

What's the best way to get rid?

We had one years ago
Took it apart and sold metal for scrap and took rest to tip
We also had a tourer which one of my mates took to a grass track event and smashed it up grass track towing a caravan race ! That was a spectacle
Glad it wasn’t in my field

Advertising on local Facebook groups will be a sure way to attract the local scrap and rubbish clearance folk. I couldn't tell you how much money or indeed which way it would flow.

I sold my inhabitable static on Facebook marketplace a year ago and had far too many people interested.
I bought it for £3,500 lived in it for 3 years and sold it for £4,500 and even when sold was offered more for it.
There were some Gypsies interested and came to look but they were the nicest people you could wish to meet. Only reason they didn't buy was because the floor moved too much (he was about 25 stone, of course it feckin moved!) I was sorry they didn't buy it because they really were such nice people.

When the one here was damaged in a storm, I dismantled it fairly carefully and stashed all the ali sheets away for later use. I'm gradually working my way through my supply using them for all sorts of projects. Easily cut and fastened I would never think of chucking ali.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
