How to stop the unstoppable?

I agree.

Concering the reputation of Scotland in ENgland the SNP has literally and totally destroyed any good will towards Scotland.

I really would like to see a Uk wide referrendum on Devolution, Ian Blackford and many others more than deserve it. Let's see these muppets stand up and account for themselves to the rest of the UK who have had to sit there and take their sh@t for years.
I'd like to see a UK wide referendum on Devolution, too. Is the only thing holding the SNP back from pushing for one, being that they can't bring themselves to ask the English general public, for what they want?

How is the Scottish government able to afford a 4% rise in pay back dated as well for Scottish NHS? Queen Nicola keeps on stepping ahead of Westminster. Yesterday the government announced business hubs to be set up in all the provinces but it appear Scotland at least is still ploughing on its own course. I am not saying the NHS don’t deserve better pay but there’s no mention of where the money is coming from? Perhaps Scotland should be independent. Then let’s see how they can make a small economy work. As others have said the constant tirade by Ian Blackford is painful to listen to. The collapse of the Labour Party in Scotland has is in part for the rise of nationalism. What a shame if it ever happens.

I don’t have an opinion Martin, but just thinking about your last sentence, why would it be a shame particularly? I don’t know, it doesn’t worry me that Portugal isn’t Spain for example 🤷‍♂️
Alternatively, I can well imagine that Canada is pretty chuffed that Alaska isn’t Russia any longer😏

@czechmate famer and part-time marriage guidance too... ?

How is the Scottish government able to afford a 4% rise in pay back dated as well for Scottish NHS?...
Because the money from the UK has not been spent on the people of Scotland as it should; they have hoarded vast amounts, while claiming they have not been given enough... liars, and it's all in black and white.

How about Corsica or Brittany leaving France? While we're on the general subject, I do recall you getting a wee but het up about the UK leaving the EU, or did I imagine that...?

I do wonder where we are going to get our money from if we gain independence. They seem to spend some big figures on projects like the new bridge an duelling the A9.

Well, it’s all a bit of nonsense. My in laws used to live in a place called Hradek Nad Nisou which in in the north of (now) Czech Republic. But all the towns in that region have two names and a host of other problems linked with being german, Czechoslovakia, German, Czech. Worse of course with languages that are nothing like each other (mind, do Scots actually speak English?🤪)

You'll do it by getting to keep all the money that's currently subsidising your feckless Southern neighbours, won't you?

Wee crankie is pretty good at spending the hard earned. Must be a popularity contest coming up - have I missed something. Of course wouldn't be quite so bad if she kept to Scots politics but this sort of thing shows she to be a reckless fool setting the agenda for the larger partner in the Union - England. Time to revert back pre 1705 and stick up a border at The Tweed.

I just believe they together we are stronger but who am I to say? I just hate the idea of another border and maybe different currency VAT rates etc etc on such a small Island.

It will be interesting if NS is only offering the 4% to "frontline" staff.
That will create an instant division between clinical and non-clinical staff.
