Can anyone suggest where would be a good starting point to read up on these… other than a sales brochure!

They appear to be getting more talked about but as of yet I don’t know much about them.

Also where would anyone suggest purchasing them and how are you using them? Am I right to assume they a little and often type thing?

Any help or general discussion around them appreciated!

So as yelrom said I use and sell them. I started using them last year myself and happy with results started to work as an agent for the company. There are others with way more knowledge on them than me. On here @Walwyn would be up there with the most knowledgeable.

i can pass you mine and or the people I work withs number to delve deeper into it and depending on where you are in the country will depend on who you deal with.

first and foremost for me the biggest draw was the fact that we have managed to stand on prices from October 2021 all through the sh!t show of last year and currently trying to buffer the increases we’ve just seen. I’d had enough of the constant were pulling prices you need to buy before 5pm etc etc.

my understanding of humates are that they are a carbon source. Molasses has the same principal but with a more rapid release and rapid decrease. I would use humate every time I go out with any fertiliser and as a start just reduce your rate by how much the added humate has cost you. Ultimately how much you reduce your rate is dependant on how healthy your soils are and how much bagged products you’ve been putting on. Bagged npk is in essence a drug so in the same way you can’t just pull someone off crack there needs to be a level of detox. As a sensible guide 20% reductions are easily achievable with plenty pushing towards 40%+ reduction.

fulvates are commonly used in conjunction with sprays as the fulvates open up the cell walls in the plant making the spray more effective meaning you can reduce spray concentrations. There’s other soil microbe benefits within fulvates too.

That website had a whole host of things on there and if you listen to their podcasts it’s quite an eye opener.

I think one of the best things to have in your head when considering anything like the above is that in one teaspoon of soil there are more microbes than there are grains of sand on the planet. With that in mind. Go and put your arm in a bucket of humate and one in a bucket of nitrogen. I know for a fact which one will make a mess of your skin

I would seriously take the time to watch this video, and see where it fits into the system and when it should be used etc...

Its easy to watch as presenter keeps it moving.

Very interesting, thank you. I’ve binged 5 of their podcasts this afternoon, started at the beginning. Very easy to understand what he’s saying so intrigued to keep listening.

I’ll PM you directly about your humic/fulvic products

Have you listened to Glen Rabenberg he has some great insight into the soil I would say a good listen to wether you use large amounts of fertilizer or none at all !!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks, I've been wondering about using a concrete pan mixer.
I think it depends on how much you’re wanting to do. If you’ve got a full load to put out am I can’t think of anything better than a paddle mixer like a Keenan…… but for about £80 you can get a “bag tap” which shouldn’t slow you down at all. Just drop bag onto it and you’ve got control of the flow rate. It will mix in the spreader a bit too.
