Keep your television programs, and as for beef if you stop buying our grass fed beef and replace it with American hormones beef that's your problem , it's you that will have muscles like popeye after eating it ,

But a pint of Guinness has more hormones in it than a whole American beef carcass. And anyway, Popeye developed his muscles by eating spinach, so I expect an apology for your deliberate attempt to pedal false news.

And another thing. I remember when residents along the East coast of Ireland had TV aerials about 30ft high in an attempt to watch the Teletubbies and other intellectual BBC propaganda - much against your Government's 'advice'.

When you start looking more closely the government of Ireland was, for far too long, little more than an extension of the RC church. Thankfully that's changed but they have adopted the EU as the new master instead.

United we stand divided we fall, there is strength in numbers , when the eu got together for peace and business reasons after ww2. The eu countries could then protect themselves from the rest of the world . It has worked great and all eu countries have become very prosperous compared to before the eu started, or the rest of the world , the eu has on average the highest standard of living in the world. And now the uk want to go it alone again.

Oh dear oh dear.

The EU was formed to stop INTERNAL conflict (Supposedly). But you'll actually find it was formed by the upper class some of whom wanted to breed a mixed race easily controlled people - as opposed to Hitler's Aryan race - all of this was circa 1930. If in doubt look up https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_von_Coudenhove-Kalergi

Specifically the domination ambitions of Germany.

Since German reunification Germany has gone recruited almost all of it's former Prussian empire .. THE hot spot in Europe for conflict.

Spain, Italy, Greece .. have ALL done very badly out of the EU. Spain having 50% youth unemployment.

In Ireland's case you recently went bankrupt ..

WTF planet are you on ? Tellytubbyshire ?

Indeed, but since the good Friday Agreement both sides have done their best to ensure you wouldn't know it. It will cost millions to reinstate and maitain a hard border, the UK certainly doesn't want that and Ireland can't afford it.
And the IRA won't allow it , any man who stands on a border crossing will be target practice.

The Brits captured 100,000 Irish in the 1600s and sold them in America. And we still havnt forgotten it.
This is a myth that has gained prominence in recent years and sensationalised by Republican activists. In the 17th century deportation or assisted passage with a bit of blackmail applied was common. Initially these people were dissidents and anti government activists who were advised to leave before they were pushed. They were not all Irish by any means nor were they slaves. An extension of this policy was more harsh and involved penal colonies in Australia.
Things have changed and people have moved on. If the best the Irish republicans can do is keep digging up stuff from 400 years ago and embroidering it to suit their twisted notions there is no hope for them.

No, the Scots and Welsh seem to care about ni.
I am not sure how you came to that conclusion but I have never come across an Englishman who wants to see a return to violence in Northern Ireland, not least because he may be involved in it and it serves no logical purpose. It provides no benefits, destroys lives and has no conclusive purpose. I see no reason why the Scots and Welsh should think differently.

In this very thread you have people calling for the border posts to be put up.
I have not read such posts but I feel most Brexiteers on here do not want to see the return of a manned border. It is the EU that insists and thus the sticking point regarding an agreement. Many on these threads have advanced the opinion that if the EU want a manned border they will have to provide it.

They were monitoring the conflict but couldnt stop the fighting, the un took over but were just as useless in the end NATO took over and sorted the job

The EU had no mandate and no army to involve itself in foreign wars. It's only tools were diplomacy and trade which it tried to use, but somewhat ineffectively in the end.

The return to violence doesnt seem to bother the english.

Oh I don't know. Deep in the bunkers of Whitehall there is probably a group of lads from MI5 and 6 plus some old hands from the MOD screaming at the politicians that a hard border is going to cost both lives and billions, and, to be fair, BJ seems to have grasped this.

The DUP appear to be happy with the prospect of a hard boarder if it secures Northern Ireland's place in the union. After all they were the only party to oppose the "Good Friday agreement" when it was being negotiated.
