Idiots guide to Milwaukee.....

The combination drill has its limits - and I avoid using it as a hammer drill whenever I can and only drill wall plugs up to about 8mm. Milwaukee do a cordless hammer drill which is better suited to heavier jobs - and is a lot handier than a corded one.

There is a difference in the hammer mechanisms - with the dedicated hammer drills being more suited to sustained hammering. I can't remember the detail but I think @ACEngineering has explained the differences before.

This isn't just a Milwaukee issue - I have wrecked umpteen other small corded drills too over the years.....
Thanks.
Have a milwaukee cordless already and does the job, from memory 16mm Anchor bolts but have a lot more to do and after seeing that broken one above just wondered if its going to wreck it.

Just had a quick look - my hammer drill is a M18 CHPX and I've had it for 3-4years.

I'm sorry I don't know the model number for any current equivalent.

About the best deal I could find was from powertoolmate on eBay with 10% discount code to make it £305.99. Anything cheaper was a varying combination of lower spec tools/smaller batteries/the standard charger

The impact screw driver is a beast, get a 1/4 hex to 3/8 drive socket adaptor on it. Not done it yet but wouldn't mind betting it will shear a 1/4 hex if you let it! It does like to shear screws off :ROFLMAO: :X3:

There is a vid on you tube of some one that pulled it apart and swapped parts from a impact wrench to make it a super compact 1/2 impact gun and then tested it again dewalt and the milwaukee m12 stubby impact and it beat them both easy!

So what your telling me is that the smaller impact driver probably would of been sufficient 😂😂😂

Yep I've sheared a couple of the adapters to 3/8 or 1/2" !!
I never really got the impact driver thing till I bought mine, fantastic tool, weapon banging in tec screws on a roof etc. Also its is a really handy size for lighter mechanical work, stripping tinwork, guards, usually use mine with 1/4 drive sockets and its very nimble for 10mm head type bolts.

One on top like for like, bottom one new model, but stubby end may effect use, in confined space,
Mine all wear out at the pin end, get very sloppy, with no bearing to replace,
But then again they have a hard life, each gun has probably undone 100,000 bolts

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
