Instability and confusion over schemes isn’t helping me. Time to decide next years cropping and SFI options are about as clear as mud esiecially regarding dates etc.

"I'm from the government and I'm here to help"

They just cannot help themselves screw it up time and again whilst telling people they are saving nature, farmers, etc etc.

Try farming here in North Wales under the boot heel of the Cardiff Taffia!

Our beloved Senedd is dominated by South Wales Labour members to whom farming and rural issues are of absolutely no interest or matter.
To compound matters, after a few weeks of suffering the arrogance and bluster of ‘Dodgy Vaughan’ Gething, the shambolic Mark Drakeford has now been replaced by Baroness ‘von Richthofen’ Morgan; who over the past few years has presided over the worst performing NHS in the UK.

The only glimmer of hope is that even die hard Labour acolytes might be getting bogged off with things, and possibly switch allegiance to Plaid Cymru who are far more in tune with rural issues and with common sense.

Yes the stability part is definitely good news hope they get on with it unlike sfi where they have missed the last promised date again where we can apply
Not keen on the trees idea
A lot of trees can be planted without loosing an acre of productive land.

Just like thousands of acres of solar panels could be installed without loosing farm land, but like with the trees a lot of land owners want a slice of the action.

Depends what they call productive. I’m all hill land it’s productive because I’ve made it productive generally they think it isn’t because the majority around me isn’t or they don’t want it to be because they can bog it off for carbon or nutrient
