And another thing.
Who can say that all the chief health and scientific advisors are nothing but closet lefties, delighting in trying to push Boris up the wrong path at every turn?
Wasn't the great battle cry of the anti brexit brigade to listen to the irrefutable evidence of the ex spurts?

That's a rather stupid comment. I have no idea if they are closet lefties or not, but I am dammed sure they are not deliberately putting millions peoples lives at risk just to undermine Boris's leadership. After all he seems quite capable of doing that himself.

Stupid comment or two questions?
Thanks for your biased answer though.

And if he did stamp down hard and we had more serious riots - you would be one of the first to come straight on here saying how wrong he was...

No I wouldn’t. I would have declared a SoE back in January and if necessary had the Riot Act read at the weekend
Just watch now ... the Far Right are revving up.

I read somewhere that Chester zoo, is closing down. Shame, had a lovely day there. About 1969 i beleive.
They’ve had over £2 million in donations from the public to help keep it going, and people have been taking in browse from trees to help feed the animals. Chester is my mother’s birthplace and the fact she was one of 11, means I have lots of relatives in and around it. The zoo is a great day out .

Jacinta Adhern has been outstanding. New Zealand free of virus and life almost back to normal without a crushing blow to their economy.

World Bank think we are in for 11.6% economic hit
Yet if we had gone the same way with our much more widespread infection we would be counting in hundreds of thousands rather than tens of thousands.

Boris is English, which for a start is no help. He displays all the congenital characteristics of your typical English penalty taker. All shapes, confidence, and blather until the ball is placed on the spot. Then when the pressure is on, and the whole country willing him to slot it, .... bang, hits the crossbar. Game over. Just how many fudgin English penalty takers will bottle it on the big occasion?
Beckham, Batty,Southgate, BoJo .....

Get a Celt in there to do the job! No fudgin about, and no excuses.

Shunting people out of hospital as quickly as possible and into care homes without any testing of those being admitted or PPE for those working in them to lessen the spread had been the single biggest factor in the UK death figures.

Had they got those things in place first the overall death toll would have been greatly reduced.
What I never see mentioned in the media witch hunt is that over half of people in care homes are in their last year of life.
Mix those with the rest of the residents who by the mere fact they are in there are generally in pretty poor health it is little wonder so many in that setting have succumbed to the virus.
I never understood why they didn't use the Nightingale hospitals for recovering old people rather than what they did. Sending them into care homes was never going to end well and was probably the one thing that was just plainly wrong. Anything else was probably taking advice that turned out wrong or easy to criticise with hindsight.

What Celts are you thinking of? Can’t be the 3 Irishmen who missed in the penalty shot out against Spain for the last 16 In Euro 2002 or Gary Mcallister against England at Euro 96?:p

Personally I believe you would, because you have been quite anti anything they have done since brexit from reading your postings, thus I fear you will continue this vein no matter what.

Yeah, but England expects! Higher expectations. Remember, it’s taken for granted in the English media, that they have every tournament won, before a ball is kicked.
Like the easiest trade deal in history ..... seems now like they are not even hitting the bar. It’s going a mile wide. Barnier hadn’t had a save to make yet.
And guess what, Boris says if it ends up all square, he’s taking his men off the field, and bringing the ball with him. There will be no extra time!!!

You want to watch some of the Scottish football highlights....

commentator (very loud and VERY enthusiasti) -“fantastic goal! Right out of the top drawer, he’s threaded that thru the eye of a needle, it‘s (insert random year) all over again”

what you see - a scuffed half slice from the edge of the 18yd line that deflects off a defenders erse to wrong foot the keeper and trundles in off the post at 3mph ?
