Mines regening every 30-40 miles. The sensor tubes aren’t blocked but I haven’t checked for splits.If the dps tubes are blocked , split or otherwise not right, itll stop regenning altogether, and the dpf will block if you keep driving. The fact that it's almostly constantly needing to self clean dictates the engine is making lots of soot i.e poor combustion, and in the case of this engine, youve most likely got shagged injectors, stuck open thermostat, or the egr stuck open , or a boost leak, in that order of likelhood. Fix whichever applies.
on inspection the dpf contained ash but no soot.
Iv cleaned the egr valve which had soot in it but valve was not stuck
