Had a quick look, 4th earl Norfolk was liz the firsts cousin, married well about three times, led the English army in Scotland, then balls’d up by trying to marry Mary queen of Scot’s and long story short was executed and his assets seized, this all 1500’s, much of his estate restored to his great great great grandson frankie Howard

According to its website, the estate is 8800 acres, 2700 acres of woodland/parkland and the remaining 6100 acres is farmland.
A lot of the farm land is tenanted, there are some very good tenant farmers on the estate. There is a large in hand farm that is contract farmed by a local farming family who again do a very good job.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
