Jaguar Land Rover making good engines??

I have read here many times about poor quality engines fitted to landrovers , however on page 6 of yesterday's Shropshire Star there is an article saying it's Ingenium engines are the best thing since sliced bread and 1.5 million have been made
I wonder how much of the engine is made in China
Also on opposite page there is article where Morris Lubricants are helping out Steam Railways by supplying oil at discount or even free

Really doesn't make any difference if parts are made in China. The specs are set by Land Rover. The nationality of the factory employees has no bearing on the reliability of the engine.

Already balance shaft bearing issues on the ingenium within and just out of warranty. Fair job to repair ( gearbox out ) thought to be linked to repeated oil dilution from failed dpf regens. They are blaming poor case hardening of the bearing surfaces, but updated shafts are also failing...

I bought some genuine Claas elevator chains a few years ago for my combine and they were made in China, I was surprised at and not happy, but they are still ok!

i have bought genuine JD planter parts, that had made in China stamped in the castings.
Didn’t worry me at all, but I did wonder what the good ole boys in the US of A would make of that ?

This virus is a warning to the world, rely on others at your peril

I just wonder if someone somewhere (a very clever individual in fact !) has the ability to make this VERY valid point to politicians of all parties in the UK in respect of food security. The next virus/terrorist activity/cyber attack/act of war, etc might just be worse than our present problem and one thing is certain if food was in short supply the WHOLE SITUATION would take some real careful handling....
Our political masters are looking for "public goods for public money" - NOTHING is more important than good wholesome food produced to world-class standards and AVAILABLE to our own population !!!

It is Western companies that that transferred manufacturing to a China, and shafting their own unionised labour
It is not China’s fault
It is Apples
It is JDs
It is BMWs
It is JRLs
It is the “west’s” fault
Of course it's not China's fault, I didn't say it was, but we can change it, we need to change it . How would we produce food if we cant get parts for our machines ? It's not like parts are cheap, perhaps makers of all types of equipment need to stop the stupid rush to more and more tech which no doubt costs millions to develop and has too be added to the cost of everything sold, keep making the models they are now but in Europe or usa,

We have sold our tea to buy our breakfast cheap so we can afford a better dinner. Trouble is in a couple of days we are going to be hungry

Dunno how much is made in China but if you ever venture down the M54 you will see their engine factory on the right hand side a couple of miles or so before the M6. It’s a bloody big building.

I,m no fan of Chinese stuff but I bought a flail topper of the internet cutting out the dealer's commission £4k new, turned out it was made in china, it's very well made and runs smoothly, time will tell how good it is.

Possibly the oil dilution issue, especially if he babies it.
Well by that,I mean he drives it normally. But keeps it immaculate and serviced properly. Just absolute rubbish engineering when my toyota’s are heading for 300k. They are saying something about the shells spinning in the block?
