I’ve just taken delivery of a 530 70 Loadall I’d say it does barely 10mph in fourth gear on the road everything else seems perfect is that max speed or am I doing something wrong?

I’d say you’re spot on because it doesn’t seem to Rev very high without pushing hard on acceleratorIt sounds silly, but is the accelerator pedal free to go right to the floor? I noticed my 530-70 was slowly getting more asthmatic on the road, especially going up slopes and the like, though fine around the yard, and I eventually realised that there is a well in the fuel tank under the cab that allows the pedal to be depressed, and this slowly fills up with soil, dirt etc and prevents the pedal going as low as it should. Cleared that out and it was all back to normal.

Is it a farm special of standard construction model? if standard with 4 speed gearbox do not expect any more than about 16 mph with a tail wind!I’ve just taken delivery of a 530 70 Loadall I’d say it does barely 10mph in fourth gear on the road everything else seems perfect is that max speed or am I doing something wrong?

Can I ask what is the difference between the two models? Is it a farm special of standard construction model? if standard with 4 speed gearbox do not expect any more than about 16 mph with a tail wind!
Mines definitely standard model!! But will hopefully do all I’ll ask of it! Would have preferred a bit more road speed but tractor and loader can cover thatAt that age it wasn't a great difference whereas today it is about £25k!
if yours is around 1999 ish, you can always bolt a APUH on the back so that's not a problem, FS would have 100 hp in that era, probably a joystick with 4 buttons on the top, Radial Tyres 17.5 LR x 24, Hydraulic Equipment Locking (another bolt on accessory) possibly air con as an option, maybe a 5 speed gearbox but other than that nothing major - whereas as the FS model grew there were lots of spec increase to justify the price difference including Boom Suspension 120 then 140 hp engines, 6 speed box, high capacity hydraulic pump with with load sensing, torque lock etc etc.
The models made around 1999-2008 were some of the most reliable bullet proof models ever made by JCB, but since then it has all been downhill in every respect except for the Retail Price!!
Can I ask what is the difference between the two models?
It seems to have a bit of poke in fairness for the engine size. I see it been it’s used here and the jd6330 parked for all feeding near yard they are saying it’s very comfortable to drive. The construction machines used to have a plain bongo non turbo 4cyl engine and as much spirit as day-old duck-muck.
This is my one , see the writing on the side , has your got that , mine goes about 20 mph on the road , i wouldn’t want it going any faster, and it doesn’t need full Rev to do it either. It doesn’t say farm special only 530 70. I cleaned under accelerator it made a big difference
Any one know where speed sensor is ,as lost speedo ,and wont go into higher gears sit in 3 rd
03 530-70
thanks

What I mean is when I’m on the road I won’t be at full Rev but still going as fast as I want to. Not like when I had a case 580 g digger and on the road it needed full Rev to get anywhere .Full RPM makes a massive difference to how a torque converter transmission drives. It is always the first thing to get right.
