Wondering if anyone has any experience with, knows of anyone who has used or has any opinions on the jcb524-50. Considering buying one in the future on the recommendation of a friend who's been using one for years.

I have just traded one in after 12 years of use.
it was an excellent machine in many ways especially around the yard.
minus points, road speed bit slow, would eat tyres. Was extremely reliable for 9 years but the started to cost quite a lot to maintain. Nothing major on its own but lots little things mounting up.
1 weak point is the throttle cable which runs close to the exhaust & will melt , I went through several cables. Also the last year was a job to stop engine overheating.
happy to answer any further questions if u want.

Thank you very much - what sort of jobs did you use yours for? Where abouts are you if you doing mind me asking? Just wondering for terrain etc.

Have you got the same thing again or not?

No problem!
I am in Pembrokeshire. we are dairy farming so it did feeding up with shear grab, mucking out with grab & muck loading with bucket. Also hauled straw from neighbour , pulling a trailer. Loading fertiliser etc.
wasn’t great in wet field conditions could make a big mess!
dealer didn’t get back in touch when asked to quote to change so went elsewhere dispute them doing all the service & repairs on it. Ended up with bobcat telehandler which is a bit bigger than the jcb but I am pleased with it so far.
