Hilo slipping ,
how big a job doing it
are parts still available ,
@Phil P
Cab off and split tractor, plenty of parts still available and if your confident with the spanner’s it’s not too bad. Just take your time!

Is it slipping in high or low though? Low is engaged by springs but if it’s slipping in high it could be low oil pressure. I’d definitely give it a full pressure test before stripping as pump could be in its way out! Check pto and mfwd pressure too if it’s got it.

Now Then..
You can split a 1950 with the cab still on. Yes there's easier access with it off & out of the way. But if you have nothing to lift it off safely it's an option..
It's rare for them to slip, how many hours has it done?? Does it stay in Hi at tickover and the PTO remain engaged with no oil pressure warning light??
