Same in reverse or just forwards?Hi all starting to notice my jd 6900 clutch slipping in all gears when working it hard what is the problem?
didn’t try see if it was slipping in reverse but the bite in the clutch isn’t as sharp as it used to be. if pulling off on a hill from stop position there is a small delay after clutch is let out before take offSame in reverse or just forwards
12000 hours . mostly mowing / baling and road work , it worked on a tillage farm before I bought it 4 years ago . I changed back end oil and filter 2000 hours ago and it was spotless coming out.Now Then..
How many hours has it done, what sort of work & has it been serviced??...
Fwd and Reverse lever on right hand side. 1234 working fine. when tractor is working hard and hot it is slipping in a high gear and low rev also if stopped at a junction it won’t go forward or back after a long drive but ok when coldIs this a Powrquad tractor with the reverser on the right hand side console?? Is it just slipping in forward, or reverse too. If it is a Powrquad, are 1,2,3,&4 working correctly??
FYI, Transmission oil filter change interval in 1500 hours, with both filters to be changed every 750 hours

Question is what is itThat's f**ked it
Brake disc lining material.Question is what is it
If your forward clutch is slipping, that's the clutch disc lining material. It's rare for it to delaminate... They say, it can be caused by heat and moisture in the oil..Question is what is it
Told ya ime jd clutches are bombproof….until they’re not anymore and need changingWorn clutch
Cheers mate any idea why 4th range won’t work either when the tractor gets warm is this to do with the clutchThere is a drain under the diff which has a mesh filter inside it. Any debris will be caught by that.
