John Deere 8R DPF regen time ?

Mine lights up icon on rh post every like 10 hours, is that normal ? How long does it last between regens on new tractor/ clean DPF ?
Is it smart to force it to make park regen ? Will it help ?
6140R with cleaned DPF has like 50-60 hours between regens.

If it is clogged my options are send it for cleaning or delete it and break it, leaving DOC in place. Deleting I dont want because I dont want it to be louder, I am used to silent tractor comparing to 8030.

The 7270R we had on hire this year was doing a sootbox clean every 10-12hours whilst drilling and all other 7Rs we’ve had have generally done a clean every day whilst working hard.

Slightly staggered that when working hard that they wont manage a passive regen!

This was a automatic dpf clean whilst working light on corner post whilst machine working as normal not forced regen. Never had to do a forced regen on any ones I’ve driven. Just giving OP time between cleans as he asked.

Did he do regen or sootbox clean ? I think sootbox clean is park regen ?

The term sootbox is just what we called the 7r because it has a dpf . Whilst working all regens were passive no effect on working at all.

I think it is not good if it makes regens every day, that is the sign that DPF if plugged and then turbochargers get a lot of backpressure.
I have seen few of them who get bad turbos because of that, it gets axle movement in-out which is almost never happening with normal exhaust machines.

DPF is the work of the devil especially with an egr system like on Deere’s

You got that right, I will delete EGR this week but I want to wash DPF and work with it but if sensors start to make problems then I will delete that also.

Just delete the whole lot it will cause less trouble and stick an exhaust from a 30 series to dull down the noise

Try it as is after you delete it, I think you will be surprised how quiet they are

Sorry i dont get it, you are telling that they are still quiet after the DPF filter is broken and cleaned so only outer piece is mounted ?

I know it's a different tractor but my friend has a 6210r with the dpf deleted and a section of pipe in its place connected to the factory stack, the engine noise is hardly noticeable.
A bigger engine like the 8r could be louder though

Yes I think 8R with 9 Liter engine will be loud if the DPF is removed, I would leave DOC untouched.

Any update on this? My 7310r was regenerating for 6 hours today. Was still on when switched it off. Any ideas what the issue could be?

Delete it and be happy, that is what I have done. It is clogged. You can wash it or delete it.

We had an ecu go on our 6175r the other week , it wouldn’t do a regen , changed it and away it went again ,
