As title, just had a GPS quote for my tractor, Electric wheel and GFX 750 screen, NAV 900 controller and Centre Point RTX for £13k.

Can I do better and if so where ?

Who's that from ?
Accuracy ?
When I had centrepoint years ago I was told rangepoint and centrepoint were the same level while using them, the difference was the drift, rangepoint you’d go and have lunch and it would have moved, centrepoint you come back in a year and it wouldn’t have drifted, I might be wrong

Lloyds of Kelso, sold through their parts department.
Accuracy, good enough. It can wander a few inches over night / over lunch (drop a side marker for the last pass before stopping), but pass to pass its good enough for drilling.
The unit should come with the first years RTX sub included, after that it’s £295 pa.

The wheel is about £3k, or so.
Screen £5k ISH, plus unlocks at £1500 a go.
And you have to pay for each step up in accuracy.
You can't go straight to centre point from egnos.
Plus subs.
And fitting.
Doesn't take long to hit £13k.

Be cheaper just going full rtk. Its much cheaper subscription. You aren't tied to trimble.
You can buy an all-constellation (GPS/GLONASS/Galileo/BeiDou/QZSS) triple frequency (L1/L2/L5) fully self-contained RTK receiver that could easily be used as a portable base, for around twice the price of an annual RTK sub.

Not sure why you’d bother with a sub any longer, as you paid for the receiver with just one sub before year 2 is out.

The world has moved on....

Not sure about my 2050 screen, but my FM 750 with internal rtk radio cannot pick up my neighbours signal .
Needs an external one.

Fieldbee system as priced a fortnight ago... in Euros, but as we are nearly at parity, consider them Pounds now... :-(

As per your previous thread I would strongly recommend you avoid an L1 only based system, like the FieldBee now you can get several L1/L2/L5 receivers, such as an RS2 for similar money

You will have infinitely faster convergence and far longer baseline capability.

I agree with all you have said! ;) My needs are more are as a driving aid, as opposed to a full-on guidance system and autosteer...

The Quote was put here more for information to the thread, and an indication of their pricing for the autosteer option.
