We’ve a couple of hoses split on our lc302 drill where they are clamped to the lid.
Drill hasn’t done a great deal and hoses are in good condition apart from the split (never had to replace a hose on our old Accord drill).
Will we have to replace the full length of hose or could we put a joiner in?
The joiner would be under the clamp though, could take the hose off the coulter and distribution head and turn it upside down to overcome this.
I guess it’ll only be a matter of time before they all split, any ideas how to stop them?

Looks like the hoses have to flex a lot at that point every time the lid is opened and closed.

I wonder whether you can get a super flexible and durable hose, then put a short length into every air hose at that torture point. Otherwise it looks like that clamp needs rethinking so that the hoses flex gently over a longer length.

Kuhn hose is a lot more flexible than the old accord stuff so usually seems to cope fine with being bent over the edges of the hopper. We've had kuhn drills for 10 yrs now and I've only put joins into something that's rubbed through or been squashed

I’ve had problems with where the pipes fit on the the tramline diverters. The spring clips that Kuhn supply get weak and the pipes pull off.
I’ve resorted to cable ties round the pipes and the metal strip that clamps all the pipes to the seed hopper lid, as shown in @jackstor ’s picture.

The pipes do become brittle over time and will split. But I am surprised they have split on such a young drill.
You can buy a roll of the pipe and cut them to length, when needed.

I wonder why it’s splitting there on ours, it can’t be a common problem or surely the clamp would’ve been modified.
If the clamp was slacker and allowed the pipe to slide when the lid was opened would maybe help?
Don’t like the idea of replacing full lengths of pipe on a machine that hasn’t done much.

Merlett plastics have nearly every type of hose you can think of. I have often specced different quality plastics so pipes don't break in a Frost. Have found them about about quarter of ag supply price.
