Kv/ vicon . Geo iso bus , green star battle

Got a geo this , spring , came with iso wiring harnesses ,,it’s own dome , the big tell us screen ,all unlocked .
got a cable from kv , and a jd gps cable to give signal ,
Problem is iso bus in tractor is wanting to take over spreader ,from tell us screen which has section and vari rate in it .. we have switched off every thing in tractor in screen to make it work . But loose auto steer
No , before you say just use tractor screen to run spreader , not paying £900to have it unlocked , when told by ams guys it should work ,
And be told to put independent loom back on tractor
And then we get auto steer back
Any ideas or way round it

If we turn the tractor isobus off the the spreader opens on the Tellus. Then we start the tractor isobus and then the guidance and that loads on the tractor screen. This is on a Massey. I would like to know a more precise way to manoeuvre isobus functions to where I want them, but it is eluding me.

I had similar problems but was told that my spreader software was too old .

I was running mine through JD isobus loom out the i think 9 pin plug? next to the hitch handle in my R series . 90 percent of the time it was fine then all of a sudden the spreader would disappear or it wouldn't load when firing up. The not loading thing was put down to the JD system starting up a kit quicker than kv so was trying to take over first. Losing the spreader was a pain hskf way across a field as to het it back you sometimes got out and unplugged it and it would come back but sometimes had to shut down which generally lost the coverage you'd done

There's bits in the JD menu I had to play with but can't remember what they were .

I gave up with it and put my kv loom onto an Anderson plug so it's easy to swap between tractors instead of leaving it on the 69 and using the isobus on the R .

Are you using patch cable from the jd tit for gps signal or it’s own , will ask if any spreader upgrades , have you a pic of modified loom please

If it’s gen 4 greenstar I’m sure you can set which screen runs what. However it’s not something I have had to setup on mine as I usually run through the tellus on a stand-alone loom.
My gs3 and gen 4 both have vr and section control activations so just use them on there own if I use a different tractor.

If it is a gen 4 screen have a look it the iso vt settings menu as I think you can alter the preferences in there.

No I'm using a patchwork box to give it signal for speed and position as I use it on non GS ready tractors as well.

Now you've got me thinking I had to play about with settings in both screens as I lost auto steer at one point but I can't remember what I did just now.

I just put an Anderson plug on the end of the kv loom as I've got cables on most of our stuff so it makes things easy to swap

You can but some things just don't like to work 100 % together

I’ve found I quite like running it through the gen 4 jd screen with the guidance on the same page, it’s just a bit ott on a 200hp tractor ?

The settings for which screen does what will work spot on for 2 JD screens but there's just something not quite right doing it the way we're trying to .
It's not an issue for me as I needed a kv loom to run it in older stuff anyway.

My 6155 is a good 200hp and it struggles on my hills :nailbiting:

There's settings in the tellus somewhere :scratchhead: functional instance they're called I think they had to be at 1 but it's been 4 seasons since I tried to work it that way before I have up.

There's a very good man at kv/vicon that's local to me he was who I dealt with at the time i dunno how far south his area covers I know he works down into Yorkshire and we had it working till my tractor was updated then it went to hell so I just gave up and gave myself an easy life .

When I lost the auto steer I had to try a few different combinations of settings in the JD screen and I got it back

That's what I must've been using for mine but from memory after the software updates I couldn't change the priority on the task controller to say 9 then switch it off and it not revert back to 1.
It seemed to need time to fire up the kv box so the JD didn't try to take it and get itself confused and the higher the number the longer it gave it to get to the other screen.
