Lambing 2019

first set of triplets going well.
I have one ewe today who lambed last night, mothered lambs well, but seems to have no milk. Trying to foster the stronger lamb, but had to feed the weaker one with a stomach tube and dont think he will survive.
I lost another lamb which escaped from his pen overnight and another disappeared from the yards, possibly fox or eagle

So why do you tick along nicely lambing for a week and then have a day of backwards lambs: today was that day, "most" survived the experience, but seems to happen every year.

Busy day today, 10% of flock lambed (including one in the batch outside waiting for space to come in )

Anyway, just had a set of triplets and two can’t stand. Back legs just push out behind them. Any ideas?

Dead triplets out of a ewe that was ill last week to kick off at 5am. Set of smelly prematures that are in the ICU (heat lamp)one I think has brain damage, the other is keen but can’t stand yet. But then had two set of triplets right before a spare lamb was needed both times. So I guess on average a good day.

I've had a set of triplets with a lamb like that, floppy hock that bends both ways.

Made a cade of him & at 10 days old skipping about.

A bit of phsico helps, just hold him whilst he exercises a few times a day.

Had 2 yesterday with what looks to be slack hocks on a back leg, think it goes back to the dams sire, who had that that Texel thing of standing on a rear leg gone beyond straight.
