Hardly class a 6am train as peak time [emoji849]

It very much is peak - your aiming to arrive at 9am - thats peak commuter periods

I can do London from here for circa £150 - £200 arrive before 9.30. After 9.30 arrival that same ticket is usualy under £20 And I can go first class for not much more quite often

Even with the earliest train from up here it doesn’t get you there until mid morning anyway and that’s without any delays [emoji849] not much use if you can only spare 1 day having to travel the day before and come back the day after, 4 of us in a car for the price of a tank of fuel, yes it will be an early start but you can stop where or when you want or change route if there’s a problem and please ourselves what time we come back

If 4 can share a car your probably better off that way - long day though with that driving !

But you could have traveled after work Monday I guess and returned late on the Tuesday and still only been away from work the one day

Cheap hotel for the Monday night would be lower cost than the peak time travel rip off
